BEN THAPA
Ben Thapa was born in the UK and is an alumnus of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal College of Music, London. He currently works with Adrian Thompson. On the operatic stage Ben Thapa’s roles include Corebo La Didone GSMD,
Telemaco Il ritorno d’Ulisse GSMD, the title role of Jephthe at Ryedale Festival,
Tamino The Magic Flute with Kennet Opera and most recently Mat of the Mint
The Beggars Opera at The Linbury Studio of The Royal Opera House, Covent
Garden. Ben Thapa has a considerable concert repertoire, including Bach Evangelists,
through Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninov, Vaughan
Williams and Elgar. He recently made his St. John’s, Smith Square début in the
Mozart Requiem.
Future plans include Vaughan Williams Serenade to Music and Tippett Negro
Spitiuals with the Orion Orchestra at the Cadogan Hall and the role of First
Prisoner and cover Florestan Fidelio for Garsington Opera.
